Greetings! I have the pleasure of announcing the newest addition to our residency offerings. Versant will begin to offer a professional development system for preceptors in the Fall of 2015! As always, Versant remains an outcomes-driven organization. Rather than just focusing on what a nurse must know to fit into his or her role, our competency-based model identifies specific outcomes that must occur for an organization to meet its own goals. We are pleased to announce the publication of an article in The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, written by Jean Shinners, PhD, RN-BC, Executive Director, Versant Center for the Advancement of Nursing and Tammy Franqueiro, BSN, RN-BC, Assistant Vice President, Versant Holdings, LLC. ANCC Awards Residency Accreditation

On January 26th, ANCC announced Baptist Health South Florida, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and Emory University Hospital (for Advanced Practice RNs) as the first organizations in the country to receive accreditation in ANCC’s new Practice Transition Residency Accreditation Program (PTAP). Baptist Health South Florida and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles both received accreditation with distinction!
