Versant Healthcare Competency Solutions® and the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) have partnered to better serve the workforce development needs of nurses across the ambulatory care setting. Utilizing AAACN educational content and Versant’s competency-based workforce development offerings, both organizations will collaborate to develop and integrate ambulatory care-specific clinical competencies into a workforce development framework.
Versant and AAACN agree on the critical importance of standardizing a model for workforce development that is competency-based and can provide tailored, individualized development guidance to any nurse practicing in the ambulatory care setting.
“We couldn’t ask for a better partner than AAACN to integrate and unify our capabilities to serve ambulatory care nurses as they transition into practice,” said Versant’s President and CEO, Larissa Africa. “A workforce development solution must reflect each and every nurse’s specific specialty and practice setting. Integrating AAACN’s existing educational content into our framework will allow us to better serve the ambulatory care specialty.”
“AAACN is excited to partner with Versant to ensure we continue to provide resources to support the evolving role of professional nurses in ambulatory care,” said Pete Pomillo, CEO of AAACN.
