2018 Versant Client Conference

Versant is pleased to announce that we are hosting the 2018 Client Conference, November 7 – 8, 2018, in Charleston, SC – Historic District. Interested parties are encouraged to submit abstracts for both podium and poster presentations. Additionally, current residents and alumni are encouraged to submit abstracts of performance improvement (PI) projects to showcase during our poster presentations. As a participant, this is your opportunity to present your work to a national audience of your peers and to participate in Versant’s mission to fundamentally improve the quality of patient care through developing and sustaining professional nursing organizations …One Nurse at a Time®.

Abstract Development and Submission
  • The abstract application must be completed and submitted electronically at
  • Upon completion of the abstract submission, it is advised to save the abstract submission responses for future reference (a print option is available).
  • Once submitted, confirmation will be provided confirming receipt of the abstract submission.
Conflict of Interest

A Conflict of Interest refers to an affiliation or relationship of a financial nature with a commercial interest organization that might affect a person’s ability to objectively participate in the planning, implementation, or review of a learning activity. Each presenter should be free from a conflict of interest.

Due Date

Abstracts must be received by June 8, 2018 to be considered for review.

Acceptance Date

A committee assigned by Versant will review abstract submissions. Chosen presenters will be notified via email by June 22, 2018.

General Information


Submissions should follow the theme of the conference which is Fundamentally Transforming Healthcare: Safety as the Ultimate Outcome.

Type of Presentation

You will have the opportunity to submit for a podium presentation, poster session, and/or panel discussion (with a group of your peers).

Podium Presentations

All selected podium presentations will be 60 minutes (50 minutes followed by a ten-minute Question & Answer time). Submissions for podium presentations will be selected for either concurrent or general session time slots.

Poster Sessions

The Poster Session is always a highlight of the conference! We welcome general and Performance Improvement (PI) submissions.

Additional Notices and Information
  • The Versant Annual Client Conference Committee has final determination of conference sessions.
  • Versant reserves the right to edit the information of the submission, if selected, in all conference materials distributed to participants.
  • Presenters are responsible for adhering to the deadlines and the guidelines for electronic submission. Failure to do so may result in the removal of the session from the conference program.
  • Presenters are responsible for submitting presentation materials to ensure electronic availability to conference participants by the date identified in Cadmium.
  • Presenters are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce handouts if copyrighted by an organization other than Versant.
  • Sessions may be video or audio taped to share educational material with Versant clients and/or the production of marketing materials.
  • Presenters will not receive compensation and will not have travel expenses reimbursed.
  • Registration fees will be waived for all accepted abstract presenters (up to three [3] presenters).
  • Presenters will need to register individually for the conference.
